Crafty Intentions CROCHET PATTERN Small Wyvern pattern (printable PDF-file /75 pages)


Developed by Megan Lapp aka Crafty Intentions, this crochet pattern is for a Small Wyvern!! This pattern is written in U.S. terminology.


This pattern comes with instructions to make a Small Wyvern!! Everything you see in the photos is included in the pattern! This pattern includes instructions for a body, rear legs, solid wings AND ripped wings, belly, two styles of eyelids, back scales, two sizes of horns and face spikes! All instructions are carefully depicted with words and photos! This pattern features clear step by step instruction with a lot of row-by-row photos.


This pattern is a total of 75 pages containing a full set of written instructions with photographic illustrations, and there are video tutorials for particular steps and stitches available on my YouTube channel. This Pattern consists of ONE PDF File, and the last 15 pages are Text-Only, Printer-Friendly instructions, but I strongly recommend you still refer to the photographic illustrations throughout the pattern if you have any questions.

A Small Wyvern from this pattern is approximately 8 inches tall from head to toe, 19 inches long from nose to tail tip, and 22 inches wide from wing tip to wing tip.

Yarn, in worsted weight, all amounts are approximate:

Body: 45 yds

Head: 8 yds

Rear Legs: 30 yds for two

Belly: 14 yds

Eyelid Style 1: 3.5 yds for two

Eyelid Style 2: 6 yds for two

Back Scales: 6 yds

Horns: Small: 3 yds for two

Medium: 5 yds for two

Face Spikes: 3 yds for two

Wing Thumbs (optional): 6 yds for two

Wings: 96 yds accent color for two

34 yds main color for two 


G (4.0mm) Hook


16mm Safety Eyes Darning Needle


Fiberfill


8+ pieces of 18-inch 18-gauge paper-wrapped floral wire (or heavier wire)

**Note: 18-inch long, 18-gauge, paper wrapped stem wire is recommended, but you can use whatever type of wire you want, provided it is strong enough. Err on the side of heavier/stronger wire. DO NOT use pipe cleaners, as these are not nearly strong enough to support the wyvern.
